Hi Lindsay

Did you install the dictionary and thesaurus via File - Wizards -
Install New Dictionaries?  I believe yo have to have Java (JRE)
installed for this to work, and an Internet connection running. After
choosing a dictionary you can then set up the thesaurus.

Then you need to set the default language from Tools - Options -Language
Settings - Languages.  If the dictionary is installed you will see a
little ABC with a check mark (tick).

Make sure that your language is set by right clicking on the page and
choosing Character in the menu. There should be a box on the Font tab
showing your language.

*Then* save that document as a template File - Templates- Save (call it
"default" or something like that.
Then File-Templates-Organize -- Select the template you have just saved
and click "Commands" where there is an option to set that as your
default template.

That way all your language settings will be preserved for next time.
