     To whom is the document "read-only"? Are you saying that every 
document saved in this directory has these permissions: r--r--r--? (can 
read, can read, can read) Have you used User Drake to add the user names 
of all those with permission to read/write in this folder? Have you added 
them to the proper group: owner, group, other?
     I have three computers networked using Samba with all running Mandriva 
2006 Linux. My network works fine. This is not a OOo problem: you have not 
set up the network exactly as it should be.
