You could drag them to the Trash Can -- it looks like a waste paper
basket and the end of you dock -- or you could click ONCE on the file
or folder, hold down the command key (the one with the apple on it)
and hit the delete key.
Once you have all the files you want to delete in the trash can go to
the Finder menu and select empty the trash (or secure empty the
trash if you are really paranoid)
