You do realize that this problem is local to your machine? I suspect that one of the config files for Writer has been damaged either by Windows or by some action you took. So what to do? If this is 2.0.2 then I suggest you wait for 2.0.3 and remove 2.0.2 completely and clean your registry before installing the new version. In the meantime, you could install 1.1.5 which reads Open Document files and use it to get on with your work.
