What ever happened to implementing the ability of the Writer program to be able to read Micro$haft READER ( .lit ) files? I saw the 32385 issue that was dated some time ago, and noted that there was no progress.
I'm not familiar with the issue you mentioned, but I know a little bit about lit files. Lit is a Microsoft format, and they certainly don't make it easy for anyone to implement. They like it that way. And more than that - many (most?) lit files are DRM'ed to limit copying them. Cracking the DRM to convert the file is illegal. The only program I know of that can do it is c-lit, and c-lit has received a lot of trouble because of it. I'm not sure whether anyone other than Microsoft will ever be able to have a legal lit reader. For that reason, I avoid the format and don't recommend it to others. Adrian
