As for the large file, the conversion may be taking some time. If you
want to get it open in OOo, you may want to open it in MSO and break it
up into like 4 - 8 chunks, open each in OOo, and then paste them
together. Because of the secrecy and complexity of the MSO file format
it may be difficult for OOo to open it.
As for the sort function. Is the problem consistent or random. You may
want to check the cell formatting. Maybe a number is formatted as text
or vice versa. If that fails, you should file an issue.
The best way to have problems such as this evaluated is to file an
issue. Issued are used to both report defects in the software and to
propose that new features be added. For instructions on how to file an
