Thats funny, since when I've created a hyper link using one of those
methods, clicking on it starts my browser and takes me to the internet
page linked.

Am I correct in saying that your on a linux platform - if so, maybe
someone on the list can advise you how to create a 'default' browser
for your linux distro....
