Hi OO-users! I've just swapped from excel to scalc because I wanted to get rid of autoformat and autocorrect, but unfortunately I am having the same problem in scalc:
I want to open a text file (tab-delimited) which contains 'sep1' in one cell. Both excel and scalc recognise this as a date and transform it into 'Sep-01' and '09/01/06', respectively. How can I turn off all AUTOwhatever features. I do not want my spreadsheet-editor to do any thinking for me!! I've clicked through tools -> opions but couldnt find anything. I've turned off everything in tools -> AutoCorrect, but the problem persists. If it cant be turned off, can anybody direct me to a good, simple spreadsheet editor that works more like a text-editor, ie, I would like to display and reformat (drag-and-drop cells) tabuar data, but nothing else!
