This no payment required to use OpenOffice.org 2.0 (OOo 2.0) in a
business. Donations will be appreciated if you choose to do so. That is
explained in the downloading process. The license for (OOo 2.0) is found
at this web page: http://www.openoffice.org/license.html.
StarOffice 5.2 was released years ago and is rather out of date. Sun
Microsystem has recently released StarOffice 8.0 which is very similar to
OOo 2.0. (StarOffice has some proprietary filters that OOo does not have.
There is also a certain amount of commercial support that is also not
available in OOo.)
