Thanks for trying to give the exact error message. Unfortunately the list strips all picture/attachments from the messages. You may want to post them on your web site and give the link.

I don't really understand what your issue is. If your issue is that actual files are missing, OOo doesn't do that at any point in the process unless you by chance saved a file in on of the OOo directories which seems unlikely.
