I work for a website myself, and the reason I needed to download

problem?
Hope to hear from you shortly, as you can appreciate until I can use
the software, I can't keep our company accountant happy, so would be
greatful for a quick response with some suggestions.

Thanks for your quick reply......not sure what the problem was, possibly
a corrupt file as I uninstalled and redownloaded and its solved now,
all working perfectly,

First: I'll assume you are in Windows, but you didn't say that. OOo is
cross platform (Mac, Linux, Windows), so it helps to state your
operating system.
You said you downloaded it. What is the name of the file you
downloaded? If you are in windows, it should be:
OOo_2.0.0_Win32Intel_install.exe or OOo_2.0.0_Win32Intel_install_wjre.exe
If you tried to open it (by double clicking it) and you got no error
messaged, then maybe the download is corrupted. Please follow the
instructions here to check your download:

Firefox is definitely not the problem here.
