Hi Bryan, The effect you're looking for can be obtain with the following steps: 1. click on the box containing the text you want to appear one bullet point at a time 2. in the tasks pane (the one on the right if you've not changed the default appearance of your screen) click on custom animation (third one from the top, I think). Then click on the "add" button in the "Modify effect" section. 3. A new box appears which by default has the "Appear" effect highlighted. This is the one you want, so simply click on ok. (If the box doesn't directly place itself on this option, move to the "Entrance" tab, and in the "Basic" list of effects, click on "Appear", then ok.) 4. Now click on the "..." button (yes it's three dots, like in a punctuation symbol) and in the new box that pops up, click on the tab called "Text Animation", here, choose to group your text "by 1st level paragraphs". Click ok. Now do a test-run by hitting the F5 key. You'll notice that your first click doesn't do anything, the second click makes the first bullet point appear, the third click makes the second bullet point appear, etc. I agree that's a lot of clicking for an effect that's almost inbuilt in standard PowerPoint slides. But that's the "price" (ah ah!) to pay for so many features, because the "Appear" effect is just one of many that the multiple clicking will make you discover. Enjoy!
