This would boild down to something like "OOo 2.0.5", given the current release cycles. Hmm. No, I don't think so. That's something I'd love to do, but there are other items at the moment which are more important. On the other hand, what do you mean by "import"? :) HSQLDB, the engine which is by default used under the hood, allows to link to csv/txt tables as if they were native tables. This feature is already there, but there's no UI for it. What we might have in the time frame you mentioned is that we provide an UI for this. This is not really "import", as it works life on the text file. Also, it'd be available for HSQLDB only, not for the other types. Depending on your use case, this might be an advantage or disadvantage.
