Hi,

Is there somewhere a treatment of how to cause OOo to send email through an

If not, can somebody clue me in? The Help system seems to ignore this
non-trivial problem altogether.
this got changed, see

Kmail? KDE? GNOME? Now I understand; OOo is a Linux app.
OOo is an office software suite that runs on many platforms. Linux is
one of them.
To give you a short abstract of the document, which is admittedly
written in developer language:
If you are using Windows, any MAPI compliant eMail client will be called
automatically when you choose for example "File-Send document as eMail".
If you have installed several such clients, see the Windows
documentation how to set one "preferred eMail application" (should be
somewhere in Internet Explorer options, if I remember well)
If you have a non-MAPI client, you can find the registry key where to
add this in the above mentioned document.
Hope this helps,
Uwe
