Thanks guys! The spell check is now working.
It is easy when you how.;-)

Next Question: Can I use OOo as my email editor using Microsoft Outlook? Or
must I toss MS Outlook, and if so, with what do I replace it?

Hi Ed

This is usually due to not having the appropriate dictionary installed
(File - Wizards - Install new dictionaries) or a mismatch between your
document language setting and the OOo language setting.

Check Tools-Options-Language Settings- Languages. There should be a
little ABC with a check mark against the language if the dictionary is
installed.

Right click on a paragraph of text, choose Character and you will be
able to see what is set for that text.

Look in Help for setting up a default template if you need to, so these
settings are retained.
