Not sure what you are trying to do with "exporting". If this is
something you are trying to do from within Excel, it won't work, because
Microsoft software does not support the ISO standard Open Document
format used by OOo (OpenOffice.org).

If you want to open an existing Excel file, just run OOo Calc and use
the "File -> Open" menu option and the Excel file will be loaded into
Calc. If you then want to save the file in Open Document ".ods" format,
use the "File -> Save As.." menu option and select "OpenDocument
Spreadsheet (ods)" from the "File Type" drop down selector.

Sorry I haven't experienced or seen anything about this issue before.
Maybe another list subscriber more familiar with Microsoft can offer you
a solution. It would help if you could take a screen capture of what you
are seeing, upload it to your web page and post the link back to this
list. You know, "A picture worth a thousand words" stuff.
