I have access to OOo on two computers on a local network.
The first is running OOo 2.0 Novell Edition build 2.0.0.1 on SuSE Linux 9.3.
The other is running OOo 2.0.3 on Win98SE.
I used ftp in binary mode to copy OOo data files from the Linux system to the
Windows system. I find that some of the display formatting is different between
the two systems. This has happened with both ods and odt files.
Is this to be expected?
This is to be expected depending on the fonts that you have installed on
the different systems. I use different fonts on my Linux computer than
on my Windows computer. When I use a font that the other computer does
not have, there are rendering differences. I usually map fonts so that
they are at least similar.
