Hi!
I am using OO 2.0.3.
How do I tune Impress slide, which is in "Subject - items" style, to show
one item at a time I hit PgDn key or click the mouse? Currently (the
default?) all items seem to be treated by the system as one object and
thus they either appear all together or none.
Thank you in advance!

Hello CN,
Just select the text, then in the task pane (to the right) click on the
custom animation tab, then add, for example, the "appear" animation.
Now in the section "Effect Appear" click on the button with three dots, go
to the third tab of the dialog that pops up (it is called "text animation")
and select the third option in the combo box ("by 1st level paragraph", or
something like this).
Click ok and you are done.
You can from here explore more exotic animations although when it comes to
presentations I like to stick to the predicament of the KISS acronym (Keep
It Simple Stupid) <-- just an acronym, no offence intended!!
Cheers,
Michele
