I believe that you have be answered that no, OpenOffice.org will not
integrate with Outlook Express to provide spell check.
I think you have a couple of options:
1. Search Google for a third party spell checker for OE.
2. Download Thunderbird (http://mozilla.com) which is an excellent
replacement for OE - and it will import all your mail, settings and
address book. It comes with a spell checker and also a very accurate
Junk mail (spam) filter. **RECOMMENDED**
Hope this helps, and that you'll still use OOo for your office documents.
