Thanks Keith; I have just fixed this. Your suggestion did not work in
<Select All> so I selected just the footer & changed it from English (US) to
(Australia) as you suggested. That solved the situation perfectly.

Hi Royce,
If your document or template has been imported from Word, it may well
have been imported with the English (US) language setting.
Open the document, then do Control-A to select everything. Then right
click on the page and choose "Character". In the "Font" tab there is a
box that displays the language of characters you have selected. Change
this to English (Australia) and it should show the required format.
If this doesn't work, go to where the date field is shown and delete
it. Now go to Insert- Fields- Other (or just press Ctl+F2). Click on
the Document tab and select Date. There you will find a whole heap of
dates, which should be in the Australian format, but if you want to
choose a format that's not there, or even invent your own, you can
choose "other format".
I would be guessing that it is either the language set within the
document or a fixed US format in the original document that has locked
in the incorrect format.
