As far as I know you need to download the whole thing but you don't have to remove the old version; the new version will only install the necessary new components, overwriting, deleting, moving or adding as appropriate.

I just did it a few days ago on my Windows XP system. I *assume* it's the same on other OS's.

I am and individual using Open Office 2.0. Is there a way to update to 2.03 without obtaining the CD or downloading the entire suite again? If not, any disadvantage in staying with 2.0 for now?
