I have down loaded the following file
SETUP_GUIDE_A4.pdf
from the page

Trying to read this file with xpdf ($ rpm -q -f /usr/bin/xpdf
xpdf-2.01-8)
gives almost entirely gibberish.
trying to read it with ghostview (ggv)
($ rpm -q -f /usr/bin/ggv
ggv-1.99.97-2)
seems to hang the computer.
Is there any documentation actually included in the RPM distributions?
If so, you have made it pretty hard to find.
Hmm, I will bet the file got corrupted somehow as I cannot reproduce
your report. In any case you might like to add your comment and the bad
file to http://www.openoffice.org/issues/show_bug.cgi?id=37513 for
analysis.
I'm afraid it's not clear how to do that, and although I've no doubt it's
documented somewhere, I haven't got the time. Suffice it to say, that
exactly the same file (downloaded direct from the oo.org site)
gets read OK at my work, it doesn't here at home.
The versions of ggv and xpdf I refer to are those packaged on RedHat 9,
which was the current version of RedHat 3 years ago.
The distro you use is no longer supported even by fedoralegacy.org as of
October 1, 2006. I suspect that most of your problems are caused by the
old distro.
Yes. Just to confirm for the OP, xpdf 3.0.1 on fedora core 3 (which is
aging rapidly too) displays it very nicely.
