For #1, go to Tools/Spellcheck/Options and check the box labelled "check in all languages". Then click OK. Assuming German is one of the languages specified in Tools/Options/Language Settings/Languages then the spell check will work as you require.

Don't know about #2 ...

PS the word "spellcheck" is *not* in my e-mail client's spellchecker ;-)

Subject: [users] 2 bugs?

hi
i found two bugs(?):

i use openoffice.org 2.0.2 under linux (knoppix 5.0, both installed onto hdd and run from cd) and write often texts in german.

1. for a pity, AutoSpellcheck doesn't function properly: it checks texts using english dictionary only, and i see no way to switch to german. if i go to menu: [tools -> spellcheck...F7] and choose there "dictionary language: german" and close the dialog window, nevertheless AutoSpellcheck checks the text using english dictionary.

2. when i run OpenOffice.org, i see everytime this thing license and so on, and independent on whether i click "i have aleady registered" or "i don't want to register" or other checkboxes, this thing appears the next time and every time. it is really annoying and disturbing and nerving

thx 4 attention:)
