What you describe seems to me that it would be better served if you
employed File > Versions. Please try.

Thank you for taking time to reply.

In my case, I don't do version control inside OpenOffice. Instead, I
archive documents into CVS so it always contains every version from
the beginning. I use Change Recording feature to keep track of every
modification I made between 2 versions. When I archive the a document
into CVS and want to do more modification, I accept all existed
changes and use it as the starting point for a new version.

The problem I encounter is I can not filter out changes via date. That
is, I can not select all the changes before a certain date or within a
specific period and play with them.
