Yes, there is a version of OpenOffice.org that runs (sort of) on the MacTel. I am the American English test lead and will advise that I have recommended that the most recent build NOT be released due to some serious problems. However, you are free to get the latest development build and run it. However, I will recommend that you NOT use it for production work as the program may terminate unexpectedly. Also, it is NOT possible to run the PowerPC version on the MacTel due to issues with Rosetta (the program that allows you to run PowerPC programs on the MacTel in 'native' mode) that Apple cannot fix.
