Not sure about your definition of "excessive" but (a bit obviously) ...
Insert first file.
Insert Page Break (Insert/Manual Break/Page Break, or simply hit Ctrl/Enter)
Insert second file
Until Done
Insert Page Break
Insert next file
I can't find a way of replacing some "magic" string with a Page Break. If
you can, you could obviously add the magic string to the end of all but the
last file with sed and then, in OO, change all occurrences of the magic
string to Page Breaks. Anyone?
