Thanks so much for your quick response! Since I last wrote, I obtained
an OS CD containing a small program called The Font Thing. This I used
to install my downloaded fonts, which worked perfectly. For the record
though, I am using Open Office 2.0.3. The fonts I had downloaded from
several websites offering various true types. I couldn't figure out how
to use Tools\Options\Fonts... If you like and have the time, you could
gladly inform me how to install new fonts the using native tools. Like I
said in my first email, I'm still a dummy when it comes to these type
of basic processes.... ;-)

I recently downloaded some fonts as .zip files. They have been unpacked
and filed under OpenOffice.org\share\fonts. Being that I am somewhat a
dummy when it comes to installing .zip files, I can't get the new fonts
working..... ;-)
Could you please advise as to how to do this??? They are true type, by
the way.....

What OS are you using ?
Did you try the native tools for fonts on your OS ?
