Sorry a bit late on this. Have the same problem with debian. What openoffice packages are you using?
I tried a ubuntu and it worked OK, Have not tried the openoffice.org packages. Sadly changing to ubuntu is not practical in the short run. John Stephen Bosch wrote:
My printer is an HP Laserjet 5 MP. It will automatically select the feed slot if the application printing does not specify it, depending on where it finds paper. For example, if there is no tray selected and there is paper in the manual feed tray, it will print from that tray, even if there is also paper in the main feed tray. Since upgrading to OpenOffice.org 2.0, I have the following problem: My documents default to "Manual Feed Tray". The printer won't print unless there is paper in this tray. I have to set every document to "<ignore>" in the printer properties. Once I have done this once and saved the document, it remains that way for the document every time I open it. For new documents, however, it is always set to "Manual Feed (Tray 1)". I have changed the settings in the Printer Administration tool, but they do not stick. When I go back in, the tray is back to "Manual Feed (Tray 1)". If I try to change the settings in the printer options while editing the default Writer template, I cannot save the template because it does not register that any changes have been made. If I make a change (by typing a character, for instance) and then saving, the change to the printer settings does not stick. Does anyone have a solution, or should I file a bug? -Stephen- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
