please press F1 key, then select Math in the upper left list box. This
shows the main page of Math online help.
Or the list box may call it "Formulae" instead of "Math" in James'
version, as it is in mine (OOo2.0.3). But this doesn't really give an
overview of what Math is, just how to use it. I'm sure Math is covered
in various OOo User Guides. Search with Google "openoffice math". Here's
