     I created a 3x3 table in Writer. I had no problems changing the 
vertical and horizontal lines so that they were different widths. 
This was using the Linux version of 2.0.3. Since you are using the 
Ubuntu version of OOo, there might be a bug in your version if Ubuntu 
made any changes in OOo.
     You might prefer to use the mailing list for Spanish speaking
