I'he a SUN SPARCstation20 MAchine With 128 MB RAM,5GB HDD,1024*768 Screen
Resolution.
I able to install All Required patches, Gnome 2.0 and OpenOffice 2.0 but I got
a Error messages when
I open the OpenOffice 2.0.
I should installed:
1) First i Install Solaris 8.0
2) I Imlement the Patches Required for OpenOffice2.0:
108434-11, 109147-14,108773-13.
3) I Imlement the Patches Required for Gnome 2.0:
108652-66, 108919-17, 110934-13, 113749-01, 114364-01, 114542-01,
114644-01, 114646-01, 114648-01, 114650-01, 114652-01, 114814-01
4) I Installed the Gnome2.0 it require System Restart. I could Restart the
System.
5) Finally I could Installed OPenOffice.org 2.0 by the following Steps
a) this is compressed file File extection is ".gz"
b) I extracted This file to a folder named openoffice2.0
c) This folder have some of Packages.
d) I Had to use pkgadd and add the packages. it takes 20 mins time
c) After installing all the pachages.
d) I had to run the soffice file by command "./soffice" I had a error
message that is
/opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/javaldx : syntax errorat line 1: '(' unexpected.
/opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/pagein : ^?ELF^A^B^B^A^B^R^A^A : not found.
/opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/pagein : syntax error at line 2 : '(' unexpected.
/opt/openoffice.org2.0/program/soffice.bin : syntax error at line 1 : '('
unexpected.
