Hi - I solved my own problem!! I reinstalled X11 from my OSX
installation disc and open office loaded OK.
Hope I haven't caused any problems.

I have used openoffice, V1.0b9, on my computer before but have
recently reinstalled and upgraded OSX to 10.4.6. I have reinstalled
openoffice but cannot reinstall X11. The installation instructions,
under `select a destination' state `You cannot install X11 on this
volume. Newer software already exists on your computer'.
Can you tell me where to go from here please?
