Hi Tracy,
 It's not clear what you are actually trying to do with OpenOffice.org. If you 
simply want to open a file as if you were using MSWord, then in Start -> 
Programs -> OpenOffice.org is what you are looking for - that is of course if 
you installed the downloaded files.
