You may feel frustrated, but the answer is simple.  All of the
applications are there.  You have the answer as a new window should open
with the new file type.  You should be able to switch between windows by
clicking on the Window menu item and selecting the different files.  If
this does not work for you, please advise along with the language and
OpenOffice.org version you are using.
