The very front page says (copy/paste) [OpenOffice.org User Guide for 2.0] [0.20] First edition: [2005-04-11] First English edition: [2005-04-11] 2. The index does indeed say it's a work in progess, exactly as you suggest. 3. The index starts on page 448 (that's the page number actually shown on the page; Acrobat Reader thinks it's page 480 of 490. Page numbers below are those actually displayed as part of the document. 4. The index for the letter D starts at the bottom of the left hand column on page 452; it continues to very near the bottom of the right hand column on page 454. 5. The very next entry is a large blue italicised capital T indicating the start of the index for T. That's the last thing on page 454. 6. Page 455 has four lines in two columns: The left hand column has 3 lines tree.................................................................................... bark..........................................................................117 type.............................................................................225 The right hand column has 1 line replacement............................................................203 This line appears between the second ("bark ...") and third ("type...") lines of the first column and correctly positioned to be considered to be in the right hand column. 7. Page 456 starts the Public Documentation License. This continues to the end of the document, page 458. Sorry to dissapoint you but I don't think I have time to help with the index.
