Thanks Roderick: Actually I had done what you suggest but it did not seem to work. I puzzled over your instruction and then decided to try it again only this time telling the application to install the dictionaries irrespective of whether it thought they were already installed.
It worked perfectly. Perhaps this is indicative of a tiny bug somewhere? Or perhaps I did something repeatedly wrong. As to the double help request.... Blame that on MS Outlook. When I sent the first message, or so I thought, Outlook did not show it in the "Sent" file nor the "Draft" file nor in the "Outbox". I assumed that the message had gone to e-mail hell. Only after I sent the second plea for help did both messages appear in the "Sent" file. This is not unheard of in Outlook, which is one reason I would like to have a replacement that would also provide an application for my PPC and allow synchronization. But of course it would also have to be able to talk to other applications that seem to prefer Outlook. Guess I will have to wait a while. Thanks again for your help. Once is enough. Getting dictionaries couldn't be easier.
