I have WindowsXP on my computer along with 2.0.3. My Writer files were being
saved properly for the many months I have been using 2.0.3. .odt files were
correctly Saved As html files with no problems. Suddenly saving Writer files
became a problem

I have a file that use to save into the .odt format without a problem (Call
that file 1). The problem just started. When I saved the file 1 it saved
properly into a .odt file. Call that file 2). I opened the good saved .odt
file 2 and saved the file 2 in another name that also had the .odt extension
call that file 3. I opened the file 3 and tried to Save As a html file. Got
the message that the file already existed however I am sure I do not have a
html file with that name. I clicked Yes to overwriting the file that I knew
did not exist. Got the regular message that saving in the different html
format might cause to loss of some formatting. I went back to file original
good .odt file and found it was overwritten and looked very much like the the
html files I use to get when I saved into html except the original file name
was there with the .odt still in the name. When I opened the file that was
overwritten, actual code came on the screen (the file as it would
appear on the Web did not appear).

When I try to Save As the .odt file as a html the computer says there is a
html file on the computer that I know is not there. the computer must be
"seeing" the original .odt file and mistakenly "thinks" it is a html file and
then when the Save As to html is executed, the original .odt file is
overwritten. However it overwrites the .odt file into a html file but the
html/odt file is corrupt and the file is still named with a .odt

Tied into the above problem is that when I do other Saves, OOo 2.0.3 now
sometimes crashes (It never crashed in the past). When restore comes on the
screen and I select Restore Now, it ignores the command.

How can I correct the problems?
