For what I know the fonts in OOo are the fonts that are registered by
windows. So in order to use fonts you have to put the fontfile in the
according directory of windows. Therefore, if you want to use a font
that you downloaded in a zip-file you must extract it to
C:\WINDOWS\Fonts. It maybe necessary to close OOo (including the
quickstarter) for the changes to take definate effect.

Okay, it's like this: I download a True Type font zip file from the web, I
extract it to Open Office installation files--now what? Should I have
extracted it to some other place to begin with? What then? I've noticed a
fair number of people asking questions like this in recent weeks--I wish this
matter was better covered in the Help section. Can anyone--in clear,
non-technical, non-abbreviated English--give us all the low-down on zip file
font installation once and for all? It would be greatly appreciated by this
2.0.3 user, that's for sure....
Thanks for your time, everyone,
