How slow am I? It did not occur to me to use two different addresses
for one list. I suppose I'm just not duplicitous enough.

I am surprised you have not recieved more.
You have at least not been suckered by this scam which is a good thing,
unless you also sent a nasty reply to the sender in which case you have
given your email address to them to be sold to all and sundry spammers
as a real address.
Defense for this scam varies from "mutter - delete" to setting up two
email accounts. One that you post emails to the list(s) with, but drop
all incoming emails on. The other that you never post with, but read all
the list mail on. There are various intermediate levels each work with
varying amounts of success.
