I think that this is the standard behaviour, but maybe there is a setting in
Tools -> Options

You can change the key board shortcuts with Tools -> Customize -> Keyboard

This may be an issue with you not using styles correctly. Please have a look
at http://documentation.openoffice.org for a very good document on styles.
Please reply to [email protected] onlyi have no real problem with ms word or excel etc. but wanted to move away from microsoft. i like openoffice and am glad i made the move. my next step is to attempt to move from windows to linux at some point in the near future.
