The downloads should be fine but it is prudent to check them using the
md5sum procedure linked to the downloads page.

These are two different points. Both could be expanded to make the
problems clearer. Have a look at Tools >Options >OOoCalc for the
second.

AFAIK, 1.1.5 was the last of that series. You cannot update from 1.x
to
2.x. Theoretically, you can have both on your system but it's better
to have only one (I forget why - general input/output errors,
perhaps).
