Have you tried using the spadmin to set the default printer. I may have missed
what OS your using. On Linux the command is /usr/lib/000-2.0/program/spadmin
(On SUSE 10.0). This command defines the printer to OpenOffice as the
default. This will not solve any problem where you are trying to print a pdf
from OpenOffice since it cannot print PDF files.

You need to find out why Acrobat won't print the file. I use Adobe Reader 7.0
(new name for Acrobat) and it prints PDF files fine. Also I'm able to print
them from Konquerorand Firefox.
