OOo 2.03 on Ubuntu Dapper AMD-64 I was reading in a Linux tips and tricks book about Quickstarter for OOo. It suggested oooqs-kde or ooqstart-gnome. Since I use the Gnome desktop I opened Synaptic and marked ooqstart-gnome for installation. This caused a window to pop up indicating that it would need to mark openoffice.org-gnome for removal. From the description of openoffice.org-gnome, this didn't sound like a good idea, as openoffice.org-gnome seems to be really necessary. Before I screw up my OOo, can anyone suggest what I need to do?
I, for one, was never able to get the Gnome Quickstarter to work under SuSE, so I gave up on it.
