If you are registered, you can vote on the problem which raises it's need to fix. Also, does this problem occur for : 1. All users on the system regardless of administrative status, 2. Only non-administrative users, 3. Only users other than the one who installed OpenOffice.org? It may be a permissions problem where the User settings are farked and will not update. Since my knowledge of the location of the Recent list storage is limited (I work with UNIX releases mostly, especially the Mac OS X release), it is very possible that the location of storage is not updated properly and the changes do not stick through either a restart of the program (I've experience this) or through a restart of the program.
