Of course the issue is VERY important. OpenTypes are a standard. Did OO would get where it got, if didn't supported MS formats; the facto standards of office applications? Like I previously posted, I solve the problem converting OT to TT fonts. Of course that is the strength of an open project, but as I pointed in a previous post, seams that it's possible to implement OT fonts in Linux, just using the rendering engine from X. I'm assuming that OO has a modular architecture. Anyway, if someone will point me a previous thread were this issue was discussed and the reasons present, I'would like to know them.
