There are a couple of options here:

1) Buy MSAccess for however much it is currently going for. [I _think_ I saw it for $250 at Office Depot the other day.]

2) Free, as in beer, programs that will edit databases for MSAccess 97, and 200. * Text2DAO: HouseOfMyrrh.org: Does not open password protected databases. Designed for easy editing, or creating of simple databases. Tables, records, or fields can not be deleted, once created. It permits export of a single table to CSV format, which can be opened by any spreadsheet program. [This program was written to help people create resources for the e-Sword Bible Study program.] * TheWORDpad Editor: Cetus Software: Can open password protected databases. This is geared towards editing databases. [This program was written to help people create resources for the e-Sword Bible Study program.] * MDB Browser and Editor: I don't remember where I found this program. I haven't used it. I have no idea what documentation is available for it. [This program was written for general purpose database usage.]

[Disclaimer: I provide support for both Text2DAO, and TheWORDpad Editor.)

3) Roll your own, using MDBTools (available from Sourceforge).

4) Buy one of the MSAccess clones.

Did I do something incorrectly because others that have used your product state
they have access to MS Access.

AFAIK, OOo can neither edit, nor create MS Access databases. It can read them if MDAC 2.8, and several other things are installed on your system. I don't remember what else was required. :(
