Hi, That never happened to me. I have installed OOo many times and It always creates start menu icons. Maybe, you had uncheck and "create start menu group" option, so it didn´t install well. You should check if that is the case.

Everything seems perfectly fine, till the first running of the program (more precisely -- this action has never been done on my computer). I cannot find Open Office on the Start->Programs list. There is no OO icon on my desktop. Moreover, I cannot find any executable file on my hard disks to run the program "manually".
