Dear Users,
I have often experienced difficulties in re-applying styles to certain
paragraphs of the text, is it a known issue? Also, when applying a style,
not all the parameters are implemented (e.g. font style, size, colours are
not modified).
The way I go about doing it (which is probably where I go wrong) is to
select the paragraph, and then from the stylist double click on the style I
want. I have also tried to take an intermediate step by applying a "clear
formatting" from the combo box in the tool bar, and then the style.
Still no
avail.
Any suggestion?
It is sufficient if the cursor is in a paragraph and you double-click on
the style's name in the Stylist. (Or select the name from the box left
on the toolbar). So you don't have to select text to apply a paragraph
style.
What probably troubles you, is that there is character-formatting in
your text, that isn't removed/changed when you apply a style.
To make a clean paragraph/text, select it, then choose Format|Default
format from the menu or the contextmenu. Very handy: typing
Ctrl-Shft-Spase does the same.
