Hi, Jack. It is not as complicated as you may think.
Your first group should fill down without a problem. It does in my
spreadsheet. The third and fourth groups likewise.
You need to break the second group in two: b001c002 in the first column,
v001 in the second column and, in the third column =Ax & Bx. Fill all
columns down.

the cell column dialog wants to focus on the beginning of the string
and not the end.
