I asume you unpacked the installationfiles to a folder on your harddisk, which is the first step in installing openoffice.org. In the folder you should find a file setup.exe. Doubleclicking on it will start the actual installationproces. You can choose to do a standard installation with no further questions asked or a custom installation where you can specify the folder and several options you want or do not want to be installed.
After completing this process you should find a folder in your startmenu with the icons to start the different parts like writer or calc.
